De nombreux documents et traces des journées de travail Digitales 2001, 2002, 2004, se retrouvent dans cette archive. Ils sont lus, vus, reproduits, ré-utilisés et commentés.
Ces poches peuvent être combinées de différentes façons. Elles s’entrelacent dans un reséau de connections variées.




Les Archives Digitales utilisent des matériaux textiles pour accentuer l’interconnectivité des personnes qui les utilisent. L’usage laisse des traces visibles sur les textiles; toutes les poches possèdent des cartes qui servent à prendre des notes à la main. On peut compléter les différents ensembles de contenus et les thèmes ou les réarranger.
Tout reste finalement incomplet; même ce qui est perdu ou a été négligé, ainsi que ce qui reste possible appartient à l’archive. Le textile recouvre tout le contenu et l’information comme une peau, et promet un réseau de copies, de références et de connections qui révèlent différents points de vue.






Ces archives de Digitales offrent cinqs emplacements, ici dans la maison, qui permettent de placer du matériel et des documents servant à des cours ou des projets. Le travail fait et l’expérience acquise sont rangés dans un endroit prévu à cet effet et devient dans le même temps la base d’un nouveau projet futur. L’effet combiné de l’analyse scientifique, des projets artistiques et de l’intérêt économique est intégré dans un réseau de personnes très différentes – ce qui est l’intention même des Digitales – et on peut l’observer ici dans cette archive. Le textile a toujours répondu aux besoins humains comme nomades. Les renseignements qui concernent l’identité et l’origine des personnes impliquées donnent à l’archive la cohésion que l’on peut trouver dans ses relations aux autres personnes.


Les formes d’expression utilisant le textile, avec leur multiplicité d’outils et d’applications doivent être perçues en relation avec l’innovation technique et l’évolution des exigences.
Comment les femmes sont-elles perçues sur le marché du travail, leurs relations au temps, aux différents outils et média, et les multiples demandes de la vie quotidienne sont en contradiction avec les attentes de la société. Mais leur histoire, celle des exigences imposées par le changement des condtions, est supprimée. Les archives de Digitales offrent la possibilité de développer une structure par laquelle les personnes concernées, travaillant avec des sections distinctes des archives, peuvent leur donner le sens choisi.



Les Archives de Digitales concernent trois évènements distincts ayant eu lieu au centre de formation d’Interface3 en 2001, 2002 et 2004. Les conférences, ateliers, forums, panels, débats, etc durant les journées de travail de Digitales sont documentées et disponibles sous forme d’affiches, de programmes, de VHS, Hi8, minidisks, Cds, textes imprimées,etc.
Ce matériel est également disponible online. Tous ce documents existent sous diverses formes et au sein d’un réseau de connections qui s’influencent mutuellement et dont les traces peuvent être retrouvées. Les poches de tissu organisent la compréhension de cette structure de façon dans la réalité matérielle. Le passage par l’emballage et le déballage devient une expérience tactile; la flexibilité des combinaisons des différents contenus transforment les personnes utilisatrices en actrices à la recherche des archives appropriées.

Durch die Kombination von Taschen in verschiedenen Zusammenhängen werden sie auch in einem Geflecht vielfältiger Beziehungen verstanden.


Das "Archiv von Digitales" betont mit Hilfe des textilen Materials den Austausch der Personen, die es benutzen. Spuren des Gebrauches bleiben sichtbar im Textil, in allen Taschen gibt es Kartons für handschriftliche Notizen, die verschiedenen Bündel von Inhalten und Themen lassen sich ergänzen oder werden neu zusammengesetzt.
Alles bleibt letzlich unvollständig.
Auch das Verlorene und Vernachlässigte und all das, was noch möglich wäre, wird Teil des Archives.
Das Textile zieht sich wie eine Haut über alle Inhalte und Informationen und es verspricht ein Netzwerk von Kopien, Referenzen und Beziehungen unter verschiedenen Aspekten.




Dieses “Archiv von Digitales” bietet an fünf verschiedenen Orten im Haus einen Platz für Materialien und Dokumente, für Vorträge und Projekte. Die getane Arbeit und die gewonnenen Erfahrungen werden in einem dafür vorgesehenen Platz abgelegt und werden damit gleichzeitig wieder zur Grundlage für weitere Projekte in der Zukunft. Das Zusammenwirken von wissenschaftlichen Analysen, künstlerischen Projekten und wirtschaftlichen Interessen ist eingebettet in ein Netzwerk von verschiedensten Personen — die Intention von Digitales — und manifestiert sich hier in diesem Archiv.
Das textile Material diente schon immer den Bedürfnissen von Menschen als nomadische Personen.
Informationen zur Identität und dem Hintergrund aller beteiligten Personen geben dem Archiv den Zusammenhalt, der sich in den Beziehungen der Personen untereinander wiederfindet.


Textile Ausdrucksformen mit ihrer Vielfalt von Werkzeugen und Anwendungen stehen immer auch in Verbindung mit technischen Innovationen und veränderten Bedingungen.
Wie Frauen am Arbeitsmarkt wahrgenommen werden, wie sie ihre Zeit einteilen und den vielfältigen Anforderungen des Alltages nachkommen, steht of im Widerspruch zu den gesellschaftlichen Erwartungen. Noch immer ist ihre Geschichte — auch die der Forderungen nach veränderten Bedingungen — unterdrückt.
Die Archive von Digitales bieten eine Möglichkeit Strukturen zu entwickeln, die beteiligten Personen durch die Auswahl und das Zusammenwirken der einzelnen Archivbestandteile diesen die gewünschte Bedeutung mitgeben.


Die "Archive von Digitales" beziehen sich auf drei Veranstaltungen im Ausbildungszentrum interface3 in 2001, 2002, 2004. Die verschiedenen Vorträge, Workshops, Projekte, Podiumsdiskussionen, etc. während der Arbeitstage von Digitales wurden dokumentiert und sind vorhanden auf Postern, Programmen, VHS, Hi8, minidisc, CD, Ausdrucken, etc.
Viele dieser Dokumente stehen auch online zur Verfûgung, diverse Föderungsanträge wurden durchgeführt und abgerechnet, gesetzliche Auflagen eingehalten — alle diese verschiedenen Materialen existieren in vielfältigen Formen und in einem Netzwerk von Beziehungen, die einander beeinflussen und sich auch nachvollziehen lassen. Die textilen Taschen organisieren dieses Verständnis auf reale Art und Weise. Der Umweg des Ein- und Auspackens wird zum taktilem Erleben, die flexible Kombination verschiedener Inhalte machen die Benutzerinnen zu handelnden Personen auf der Suche nach dem entsprechenden Archiv.

Many of the documents and traces, produced during Digitales working days 2001, 2003, 2004, are found as objects in bags in the present archive. They are read, listened to, watched, reproduced, used again and commented on.
These pockets can be combined in different ways and therefore they are interwoven intertwined in a net of various connections.
The "Digitales Archives" uses textiles to emphasise the interchange of the people using it. Traces of use remain visible on textiles; in all bags there are cards for handwritten notes. The different bundles of contents and themes can get supplemented or put together in new ways.
Everything in the end is still incomplete.
Even what is lost or neglected and everything that is still possible becomes part of the archive. Like a skin textiles cover all contents and information and promise a network of copies, references and connections under different points of view.
At five different locations in the house this "Digitales Archives" provide places for materials and documents for lectures and projects. The work done and the experience gained are be laid down in a place provided for that purpose and at the same time become the basis for further future project. The combined effect of scientific analysis, artistic projects and economic interest is embedded in a network of very different persons — intended by Digitales – and it can be seen here in this archive. Textiles material have always served the needs of humans as nomadic people. Information concerning the identities and backgrounds of the people involved give the archive the cohesion that people can found in their relationships.
Forms of expression using textiles, with their multitude of tools and applications have to be seen in relation to technical innovation and evolving requirements. How women are perceived in the labour market, how they relate to time, their different tools and media and the multiple demands of daily life contradict the society’s expectations. But their history, that of requirements imposed by altered conditions, is suppressed.
The Digitales Archive offers the possibilility of developping a structure by which the persons involved, working with separate sections of the Archive, can give it the chosen meaning. The Digitales Archives refer to three different events in the Interface3 training centre in 2001, 2002 and 2004. The various lectures, workshops, forums, panels, discussions, etc. during the Digitales working days were documented and are available on posters, programmes, VHS, Hi8, minidisk, CDs, print out, etc.
All this material is available online and in a digital network. Institutional reports and other legal demands are recorded. All these documents exist in different forms and inside a network of connections which influence each other and can be traced back. The textile bags organise this understanding in material reality. Waar moet je je aan verwachten? Archiveren enerzijds en plezier anderzijds lijken onverenigbare termen te zijn. Niks leek minder waar ! Zie ons hier zitten, Ingrid en ikzelf, Marleen. (Mind de link met de titel:in en een, samen één, samen zijn wij hier bezig met het archiveren van onze belevenissen op deze eerste dag van Digitales 2006. Als je archiveert, zet je ook je gegevens op een drager en die drager steek je in een zak, of een map, enz., ineen dus.
Ingrid en ik hebben beslist om deze weblog bij te houden, ook na vandaag, en hier, los van elkaar, van plaats en tijd, ons ding te doen.

Ik werd geïnspireerd door het forum "Charade" van Alli Beddoes.Het idee dat je zelf drager bent van een kunstwerk, zoals een film, een boek, een theaterstuk, enz. is niet eens geniaal, het is het ei van Colombus. Het is zo simpel, je moet er maar opkomen: nadat je het werk gelezen of gezien of beleefd hebt en het daarna doorvertelt aan een luisteraar, die het op zijn beurt ook doorvertelt is de allersimpelste manier van geheugenstockering én het is nog leuk ook!
Het zet me aan het denken: waarom organiseren wij, als team voor taal, geen "Charade" ? Laten we de cursistes hetzelfde doen, hier binnen Interface3. Laten we ze aanzetten tot vertellen in het Frans en het Engels en het Nederlands. Dat zou toch fantastisch zijn !
Twee verschillende vrouwen, twee verschillende onderwerpen, ... de eerste dag van Digitales was in ieder geval enorm inspirerend. Het doet ons nadenken en zelfs bijna wensen dat wij ook zulke originele ideeën kunnen vormen. En dan hebben wij ook nog eens ons eigen steentje kunnen bijdragen in de vorm van dit item.
En inderdaad laten wij zelf ook een charade organiseren! En op creatieve en speelse wijze archiveren.

as i said i am writing down and sending to you
a little summary of what we have exchanged on
Thursday 2005-06-09 in the afternoon 2-3am

i thank you for your interest in the concept of the digA_tex: the Archives of Digitales in a textile Version and that you showed your panels and shared the story behind.

i think your approach of dealing with the image of the women in advertizing and jourmnalism in technical magazines is quite interesting and neccessary to deal with in a place like if3 and this in a daily life manner.

i especially like your suggestion to not only archive the existing panels you did and have shown at netdays etc.but to continue to collect the more recent publications.

i want to support this and to provide the form and structure for an ongoing
collection and discussion about images of women and to put it in context with other work which has been done in if3 before.
i see this as my role and task right now rather then creating new and different images.

i share your idea of a serie of fotografies of women working with media in if3.
this would be nice idea to have as a juxtaposition beside the pages of the magazines for example.

right now i ask you
_for the different headlines(categories) of your image collection

_for scans- if you have- on a CD

_for the link and short description what you have put online

_for the list of magazines you used and suggest to investigate

_and could you please suggest a practical way to get the real magazine pages as you did
before
